　　1. 解詞釋義

　　大家都知道猴子喜歡爬高，跳躍和玩耍，往往是一刻也閑不住的，而且喜歡“鉆研”。如果你扔些玩具給它，它總是會擺弄或搗鼓一下，所以monkey做動詞時，就表示“擺弄，糊弄”“干預或擾亂他人的事物”“做惡作劇”的意思。對話中“Stop monkeying with my reading lamp! ”意思就是“別擺弄我的臺燈”。

　　2. 典型范例

　　e.g. They warned us not to monkey with the machine.

　　他們警告我們不要亂動機器。

　　e.g. Nobody is allowed to monkey about with all these precision instruments !

　　不允許任何人瞎擺弄這些精密儀器!

　　e.g. He likes to monkey with old clocks and engines.

　　他喜歡擺弄舊鐘和引擎。

　　Ps: have a look的意思是“看一看”。表示具體看什么，在短語后面用借此at，即為：have a look at。例如：I went east in May to have a look at him. 五月，我到東部去拜訪他。He is on edge to have alook at it 他急于想看一看這東西。

　　1. 解詞釋義

　　Drag在俚語中指“累贅的或使人生厭的人或事物”。例如：Walking is a drag——let’s take the car. 走路太費事，我們做汽車吧。如果經常做那些累贅的或令人生厭的事，與不愉快的人相處，人自然覺得沒勁兒。后來人們就用drag來指“沒勁兒的事兒”。對話中“It is such a drag to deal with them again and again. ”的意思是“一次又一次地處理這件事情真沒勁。”

　　2. 典型范例

　　e.g. She loves her family, but they're a drag on her career.

　　她熱愛自己的家庭, 但家庭卻是她事業(yè)的累贅。

　　e.g. Having to work late every day is a drag.

　　每天都得晚下班可真討厭。

　　Ps 1：again and again的意思是“再三地，反復地”。例如：

　　Again and again the test met with no success. 這一試驗一再遭到失敗。

　　She ran a brush over her hair again and again. 她把頭發(fā)梳了又梳。

　　Ps 2：deal with的意思是“處理，對付”。例如：

　　I deal with customers on the phone and rarely meet them face-to-face. 我用電話和客戶打交道，很少和他們見面。

　　Moody people are very difficult to deal with. 喜怒無常的人很難打交道。
