　　A: I have never you mention this friend. Are you onvery good terms with him or her?

　　我從沒聽你提到過這個朋友，你和她關系很好嗎?

　　B: We have been on good terms. She is a very nicegirl. But she got in Dutch with her boss. I don’t havethe heart to see her pounding the pavements.

　　我們關系很好，她是一個非常好的女孩，但是她總是跟她的老板過不去，我不忍心看她自毀前程。

　　A: You must be stuck on her, or you would not use your elbow grease.

　　你一定是迷戀著她，否則不會這么費力。

　　【核心短語】be stuck on someone

　　【解詞釋義】stuck是stick的過去分詞，意思是“粘在一起”。Be stuck on someone和be in love withsomeone的意思是一樣的，均指“迷戀上某人”。
