　　A: It is high time you have a talk with him. That mayhelp you clear the mists.

　　【核心短語(yǔ)】a runaround

　　【解詞釋義】runaround這個(gè)詞常見(jiàn)于美國(guó)俚語(yǔ)，意思是“一連竄的借口”，引申為“繞圈子”，形容某人含糊其辭地答復(fù)問(wèn)題。

　　【典型范例1】I asked him to lend me some money, but I got nothing except the runaround.

　　我跟他借錢，他只是拿話搪塞卻分文未借。

　　【典型范例2】Don't give us the runaround. We'd just like to know whether you agree or not.
