地道表達(dá)：cut-and-dried
解詞釋義：這是一條形容詞性的習(xí)語。關(guān)于習(xí)語的出處有兩種解釋。一種是認(rèn)為此語用來指17世紀(jì)英國草藥店里出售的成藥，這是藥是割下后曬干的，因?yàn)檫h(yuǎn)不如剛采摘的或地里長著的那些草藥那么新鮮;另一種解釋為，此語鋸好晾干且已經(jīng)刨好成型的備用木材?，F(xiàn)在該習(xí)語被沿用下來，引申為“枯燥乏味的，刻板迂腐的”。也是我中文中說的“老生常談的”“陳詞濫調(diào)的”。
