Personally, I thought love meant action. I had no idea it could be so... still, the TED stage was less intimidating than I thought it might be. There's something about the way they've set up the bleachers, if you will, that's very warm. There's carpeting everywhere, all the chairs are sofas, and there's pillows. At Stage Kelly Porter, it felt like nice things happen here. 

就我個(gè)人而言，我認(rèn)為愛意味著行動(dòng)。我沒想到會(huì)如此……不過，TED 舞臺(tái)并沒有我想象的那么嚇人。他們布置看臺(tái)的方式讓人感覺很溫暖。到處都是地毯，所有的椅子都是沙發(fā)，還有枕頭。在凱利波特舞臺(tái)，感覺這里發(fā)生著美好的事情。

The people who come to TED are really just lifetime learners who want to get smarter and better year after year, and so they're coming with the hopes that they'll love what you have to say. That's what I thought. I felt like this is a safe place. It was the most support I've ever had on any talk I've ever given, and maybe I've given – I don't know – 500 talks since I started writing books way back in 2008. 

來(lái)參加 TED 的人其實(shí)都是終身學(xué)習(xí)者，他們希望年復(fù)一年地變得更聰明、更優(yōu)秀，所以他們來(lái)這里是希望他們會(huì)喜歡你所說(shuō)的話。我就是這么想的。我覺得這是一個(gè)安全的地方。這是我做過的所有演講中得到的最大支持，也許自從 2008 年開始寫書以來(lái)，我已經(jīng)做過 500 次演講了——我不知道。

The final act, then, of the truly brave is leaning back and letting them go. The theme of this conference is brave and brilliant, and I felt like I wanted to stand up and say that there is a lot of ordinary life that goes down between family members that requires a kind of bravery that deserves our respect and is really worth celebrating. 

那么，真正勇敢的人的最后一幕就是靠在椅背上，放手。這次會(huì)議的主題是勇敢和精彩，我覺得自己想站出來(lái)告訴大家，家庭成員之間有很多平凡的生活需要一種值得我們尊重、值得慶祝的勇氣。

The reward for all this bravery? Not gold medals, not hero shots for Strava. The reward is a full human experience, complete with all the emotions at maximum dosage.

所有這些勇敢的回報(bào)是什么？不是金牌，也不是Strava的英雄鏡頭。回報(bào)是一次完整的人生體驗(yàn)，充滿所有情感。
