各位聽眾朋友好，歡迎您收聽《旅游業(yè)英語》節(jié)目，今天我們要學(xué)習(xí)第十五課。我是澳大利亞澳洲廣播電臺(tái)中文部的節(jié)目主持人馬健媛。

Leo: Now, what did you have in mind? A full day tour?

Jack: Yes.

Mona: The zoo looks good. I love animals.

Jack: But we can go to the zoo anywhere, Mona. Leo, what’s something we can only see in this city?

Leo: Well, you’re in luck. The Lantern Festival parade is on tomorrow. It’s very colourful.

Mona: Is it near the harbour? I’d love to see the harbour.

Jack: We have harbours in Australia, Mona.

Leo: Well, you’re in luck. The Lantern Festival parade is on tomorrow.

WHAT DID YOU HAVE IN MIND? 利奧在這里使用了英語中的過去式。當(dāng)然，如果為了使句子更加生動(dòng)，利奧也可以用一般現(xiàn)在式。他可以說WHAT DO YOU HAVE IN MIND? 另外，我們還可以用另外一句英語表達(dá)同樣的意思，那就是WHAT SORT OF TOUR WERE YOUAFTER?在英語中，TO BE AFTER SOMETHING 這個(gè)短語表示你想要做什么事的意思?，F(xiàn)在讓我們一起來練習(xí)這兩個(gè)短語。

請注意聽利奧如何告訴蒙納和杰克元宵燈會(huì)的舉行日期。

利奧: 元宵節(jié)燈會(huì)就在明天舉行。

Leo: The Lantern Festival parade is on tomorrow.

您注意到了嗎?雖然元宵節(jié)燈會(huì)在明天舉行，但是利奧卻使用了一般現(xiàn)在式。這種用法在英語中很普遍。但要注意的是你一定要在句子中包括一個(gè)表示未來時(shí)間的明確詞匯。另外，在這個(gè)句子中還有一個(gè)介詞ON , 它必須用在一個(gè)時(shí)間名詞的前面。請跟著老師重復(fù)這個(gè)句子。

The festival is on tomorrow

The parade is on next Wednesday.

The tour is on at nine.

Jack: Sounds good to me.

請注意聽利奧是如何向客人提出建議的。

在以前的課文中我們學(xué)習(xí)了向客人提出建議時(shí)會(huì)用到的一個(gè)短語，那就是MAY I SUGGEST……..而利奧剛才所說的PERHAPS THIS WILL INTEREST YOU 則是提出建議時(shí)的另外一種客氣的說法。請注意聽錄音并跟著重復(fù)。

現(xiàn)在讓我們來聽聽利奧和杰克是如何討論價(jià)格的吧。

杰克: 這個(gè)活動(dòng)收費(fèi)多少錢呢，利奧?

Jack: How much will that set us back, Leo?

利奧: 您也看到了，這個(gè)活動(dòng)的收費(fèi)是非常合理的。

Leo: As you can see, the price is very reasonable.

在詢問收費(fèi)情況時(shí)，杰克用了一句在澳洲非常流行的說法，那就是HOW MUCH WILL THAT SET US BACK? 而利奧在形容收費(fèi)標(biāo)準(zhǔn)時(shí)則使用了REASONABLE 這個(gè)詞，表示這樣的收費(fèi)標(biāo)準(zhǔn)既不低廉，也不過高，而是屬于合理的范疇之內(nèi)。請聽對話并跟著重復(fù)。

為了向客人進(jìn)一步推銷乘船觀看海豚的活動(dòng)，利奧還引用了第二天的天氣預(yù)報(bào)。不言而喻，如果你在與客人討論未來的旅游行程時(shí)能夠附帶提供相關(guān)的天氣預(yù)報(bào)，其效果就是有可能會(huì)對客人選擇哪一個(gè)行程產(chǎn)生影響。值得注意的是利奧在這樣做的時(shí)候使用了兩個(gè)很有效的形容詞， COLOURFUL 五彩繽紛，和PERFECT 絕好的，非常適合的。接下來就讓我們一起來做一些練習(xí)。請您先聽中文翻譯，然后請重復(fù)英文句子。
