Lesson 5: Making Recommendations

在第五講里，您將學(xué)習(xí)如何向顧客提供建議，您將學(xué)習(xí)并練習(xí)表示距離的句子以及使用短句子肯定的回答問題?，F(xiàn)在請聽第一部分的對話，您聽到的是酒店前臺接待員利奧與酒店客人的對話。
Leo: Hi I’m Leo.
利奧向客人蒙納懷特女士推薦餐館
Mona : Hi, I’m Mona White.
參加這段對話的還有蒙納懷特女士的父親杰克偉博

Leo: The Golden Lotus is very close. It’s famous for its seafood.
But, if you like to listen to music while you’re eating, I
recommend the Pearl Garden Cabaret. It’s also within walking
distance.
請注意，在描述大致距離的時候,我們可以使用不同的說法，蒙納在表述說想要找一家酒店附近的餐館時是這樣說的。。。。
Mona: One that’s nearby.
而利奧是這樣回答的。。。。
利奧: 金蓮花餐館離這里非常近
Leo: The Golden Lotus is very close…
在表述餐館與酒店之間的距離時，利奧還使用了這樣的說法:within walking distance，您走路就可以到，和It’s just twodoors down，你要去的地方離開這里只有兩個門牌號的間隔。請跟著一起重復(fù)下面的句子。

語法講解。在有些時候如果我們只是用簡單的Yes 或者No 來回答問題，聽起來就會有些過于生硬。其實(shí)用短句子回答問題并不是太難的一件事，而且提問者使用的句型中往往就會包含著某種提示?，F(xiàn)在讓我們一起來聽聽餐館服務(wù)員琴和她的顧客蒙納及杰克之間的對話.，請?zhí)貏e注意他們對話中所使用的短句子。
Mona: Do you speak English?
Jean: Yes, I do.
Jean: Would you like to see a menu?
Mona: Yes, we would, thank you.
Jack: Do you have Australian beer?
Jean: Yes, we do.
您能夠聽出其中的奧秘了嗎?其實(shí)問話者提問句子中的第一個字就已經(jīng)告訴您應(yīng)該使用什么樣的句型來回答他的問題了。例如如果問話者的問題是: Is there an iron? 你有熨斗嗎?那么肯定的回答就是: Yes，there is。是，這兒有熨斗。再如: Will you behere long? 您打算長住嗎?肯定的回答就是: Yes，I will。是，我打算住久一點(diǎn)兒。依此類推。接下來請您注意聽以下的問話及肯定的回答，并請您跟著重復(fù)。
Do you speak English?

Is there a clock in the room?
