M: Switch seats?

W: Oh, yes. If you would be willing to I would be really appreciate it.

M: All right.

W: Oh, thank you.

M: Glad to do it.

Dialogue 2.

W: Mr. Emerson. Here is a present for you from our corporation.

M: Oh, thank you. It’s very kind of you. Ah, it’s a porcelain.

W: I hope you like the design.

M: Yes, it’s lovely. I have been wanting something like this for a long time.

W: I am glad you like it.

M: Thanks ever so much.

W: We hope that we will co-operate pleasantly next time.

M: Sure.

Dialogue 3.

W: Hi, Bob. Thank you very much for taking me to the party last weekend. I learned a lot about our company and did make several friends.

M: You are welcome, Jane. I am very glad the party helps. I know it’s a great headache getting into a new environment.

W: Yeah, but things are gong on well now. I have friends in a few departments, and I really think they liked me at the party.

M: That’s nice. Remember to give me a ring if you need any help.

W: Thank you. I will.

Dialogue 4.

M: I can’t tell you how sorry I am, Lisa. I lost the letter you asked me to post for you.

W: You did?

M: Yes, I am terribly sorry. I hope my carelessness hasn’t brought you too much trouble.

W: Forget it John. It’s not a very important letter anyway.

Dialogue 5.

M: Jane, would you listen to me for a moment? I come here to apologize for my rudeness yesterday. Would you forgive me?

W: Well, it’s not all your fault. I am to blame too. I shouldn’t have given you so much pressure.

M: No, it’s all my fault. I am so sorry.

W: Never mind. I know you were very upset then. I am sorry I shouted at you.

M: It doesn’t matter. I know you want to help me.
