15日下午,電視劇導演郭靖宇在湖北大學演講時公開向收視率造假宣戰(zhàn)(declare a war against forging audience ratings)。隨后,他發(fā)表微博長文,稱在新作《娘道》開播前,他曾被逼購買收視率——某衛(wèi)視要求其購買收視率,否則不予播出。此后他應(yīng)某電視臺衛(wèi)視總監(jiān)拜訪"收視率大神",對方開價90萬一集,80集共計7200萬,并表示"早找他,劇早就播出了"。
一石激起千層浪,"收視率造假"的言論一經(jīng)發(fā)出便得到社會各界的廣泛支持(win wide support from society)。陳思誠指出,在其擔任監(jiān)制和總編劇的電視劇《遠大前程》(The Glory and the Dream)播出前,也遭遇了同樣的問題,合作公司良言相勸說這是業(yè)內(nèi)"潛規(guī)則"(broad hidden rule in the industry)屬于"常規(guī)動作",不買"裸播"便沒有收視率,更會成為競品公司甚至友臺攻擊的"口實"。
導演陸川也透露,"曾經(jīng)親耳聽到某導演朋友在電話里無奈地要求他的制片將每集40萬元購買收視率的費用打到北方某市電視臺購片主任指定的公司。他跟我說如果不按照電視臺指定公司買收視率,他將收不到電視臺尾款(cannot get retainage from the TV station)"。

也正因為如此,唯收視率是舉,成為電視行業(yè)一種公開的秘密(open secrets),收視率造假,也成為電視臺之間心照不宣的一種潛規(guī)則。盡管早在2014年7月份,有關(guān)部門便出臺了《電視收視率調(diào)查準則》,收視率造假現(xiàn)象并未得到遏制。
然而,收視率造假不僅會破壞電視劇行業(yè)的公平競爭(undermines fair competition in the TV play industry),而且還會導致制作質(zhì)量下降(low-quality productions)。如今民眾指責電視行業(yè)生產(chǎn)劣質(zhì)劇(produce substandard shows)的言論經(jīng)常見諸報端,這將危及整個行業(yè),因為觀眾最終將遠離電視劇(turn away from TV shows)。
