中美元首同意繼續(xù)發(fā)揮元首外交對兩國關(guān)系引領(lǐng)作用

President Xi Jinping and visiting US President Donald Trump agreed on maintaining the strategic leading role of head-of-state diplomacy in developing bilateral relations.

國家主席習近平與來訪的美國總統(tǒng)特朗普同意繼續(xù)發(fā)揮元首外交對兩國關(guān)系的戰(zhàn)略引領(lǐng)作用。

雙方認為，今年以來中美關(guān)系取得重要進展。中美關(guān)系事關(guān)兩國人民福祉，也關(guān)乎世界的和平、穩(wěn)定、繁榮(China-US relations concern not only the well-being of both peoples, but also world peace, prosperity and stability)。合作是中美兩國唯一正確選擇(cooperation is the only viable choice for China and the United States)，共贏才能通向更好未來。

雙方同意，加強兩國高層及各級別交往(increase exchanges at various levels)，充分發(fā)揮4個高級別對話機制作用(give a full play to the four high-level dialogue mechanisms)，拓展經(jīng)貿(mào)、兩軍、執(zhí)法、人文等領(lǐng)域交流合作，加強在重大國際和地區(qū)問題上的溝通和協(xié)調(diào)(enhance communication and coordination on major international and regional issues)，推動中美關(guān)系得到更大發(fā)展。

習近平主席表示：

雙方要按照兩國元首確定的方向，規(guī)劃中美關(guān)系發(fā)展路線圖，就重大敏感問題增信釋疑。

Both sides should draw the future roadmap for the development of China-US ties, and increase trust and defuse doubts on major and sensitive issues in line with the goal set by the heads of state.
