生活在“高新技術(shù)區(qū)”

隨著科技的發(fā)展，在一些知識密集、技術(shù)密集的大中城市和沿海地區(qū)出現(xiàn)了很多發(fā)展高新技術(shù)的產(chǎn)業(yè)開發(fā)區(qū)。這在英文中被稱為nerdistan。

Nerdistan is an upscale and largely self-contained suburb or town with a large population of high-tech workers employed in nearby office parks that are dominated by high-tech industries.

高新技術(shù)區(qū)指的是有大量高技術(shù)人員居住的高檔且配套完善的郊區(qū)或城鎮(zhèn)。居民受雇于附近的辦公園區(qū)，園區(qū)中多是高新技術(shù)產(chǎn)業(yè)。

South Orange County is a classic nerdistan — largely newly built, almost entirely upscale office parks, connected by a network of toll roads and superhighways to planned, often gated communities inhabited almost entirely by college educated professionals and technicians.

南奧蘭治縣就是典型的高新技術(shù)區(qū)，有大量新建、且非常高檔的辦公園區(qū)，通過收費公路網(wǎng)連接起來，還將建設(shè)高速公路。封閉社區(qū)中居住的幾乎都是受過大學(xué)教育的專業(yè)人士和技術(shù)人員。
