重啟 or IPOD，你是哪一種？

電腦運行不暢，索性將其格式化再重裝。這個工作環(huán)境不滿意，就立馬辭職換一個工作。我們身邊有多少人都是遇到困難就離開?難道換個地方就不會有困難了嗎?

Reset generation refer to young people who, when a situation becomes difficult or burdensome, quit and start over again in a different situation.

Reset generation(重啟一代)指遇到復(fù)雜、難處理的情況時就選擇離開那里，重新開始的年輕人。

This phrase was inspired by the "reset" feature that comes with most video or computer games. Choosing this feature gives the player a fresh start and is most often employed when the player gets into a mess from which he or she can't or won't escape.

這個表達的靈感來源于電腦游戲中的“重置”功能。選擇該功能后，玩家就可以重新開始;玩家陷入游戲僵局、無法破解時經(jīng)常會用到重置功能。

The word "reset" means that these young people simply choose to "reset" their "play" buttons by changing jobs, partners or friends, instead of trying to cope with and learn from their difficulties — a standard pattern for older generations.

Reset(重置、重啟)一詞就意味著這些年輕人往往通過換工作、換伴侶、換朋友來“重置”他們的“人生游戲”，而不是像老一輩人那樣努力去應(yīng)對遇到的困難并從中吸取經(jīng)驗。

與此同時，生活中還有一群人因為收入不穩(wěn)定、生活壓力大等問題淪為生活艱難的IPOD一代。

The IPOD generation stands for Insecure, Pressured, Over-taxed, and Debt-ridden.

“IPOD一代”指的是Insecure(不穩(wěn)定)、Pressured(有壓力)、Over-taxed(過度繳稅)以及Debt-ridden(負債累累)的一代人。

Due to diminishing returns for higher education, high-levels of taxation, and a demographic shift in welfare arrangements, people under 35 are facing serious long-term issues which many governments are ignoring. Affordability of housing in many countries has dropped in the past few years, pricing many young people out of the market. All of this has meant people under 35 now face future tax burdens and standards of living which may be inferior to their potential.

由于高等教育的低回報、高額稅收以及福利體系的統(tǒng)計方式調(diào)整，35歲以下的人們正面臨著很多長期性的問題，而這些問題卻被政府所忽視。過去幾年間，很多國家的住房價格都超出了人們的承受水平，使得很多年輕人退出了買房市場。所有這些都意味著35歲以下的人們現(xiàn)在負擔(dān)著未來的賦稅重擔(dān)，同時又在一個低于他們潛在能力的水平上生活。
