戒煙“快斷法”成功率更高

提到戒煙，有的人說應(yīng)該一下子戒掉，有的人則贊成一點(diǎn)點(diǎn)戒。到底哪種方法更有效?英國牛津大學(xué)一項(xiàng)最新研究顯示，“快斷法”更為有效，比“慢斷法”的成功率高出25%。

Some people advocate the method of cutting down gradually to a point where you no longer need and desire the nicotine hit.

But, a new study has today quashed that theory, instead offering evidence that suggests the best way to give up is to go cold turkey.

而一項(xiàng)最新研究推翻了這一說法。研究顯示，“快斷法”更為有效。

Scientists confirmed that smokers who try to kick their habit bit by bit are less likely to succeed than those with the willpower to give it up in one go.

科學(xué)家認(rèn)為，對戒煙者來說，“快斷法”更為有效，比“慢斷法”的成功率高。

"Cold turkey" describes the actions of a person who abruptly gives up a habit or addiction rather than gradually easing the process through gradual reduction or by using replacement medication.

Cold turkey指一個人短時間內(nèi)很快戒除了某個習(xí)慣或者成癮的嗜好，而不是通過逐漸減量或使用替代藥物等手段逐漸戒除。

He quit heavy drinking cold turkey.

他沒靠任何幫助，斷然戒掉了酗酒的惡習(xí)。
