In recent years getting through the security check at the airport has become a chore. In some cities, the whole process can take fifteen to twenty minutes or more. 近幾年來，機場的安檢是件麻煩事。在一些城市，安檢整個過程可能會耽擱15到20分鐘。
This includes standing in line, sending your bags through the X-ray machine, and walking through a metal detector, which "detects" or finds any metal you might have hidden on your body. Most security checks thus require passengers to take metal items out of their pockets and put them on a tray—or flat container—to send through the X-ray machine. Some countries—notably the United States—may even insist that passengers remove their coats and shoes. 整個過程包括排隊，把自己的包放進X光掃描機，走過能夠檢測出你可能隨身隱藏的金屬金屬探測器。安檢大多要求乘客把金屬物件從身上拿出來放到一個托盤上，或者是一個平的容器內(nèi)，或者讓它通過X光的檢測。某些國家，尤其是美國，甚至堅持讓乘客脫掉外套和鞋子。
And of course it' s not just airports that have high security, more and more tourist attractions are "beefing up" or increasing their security too. So negotiating security checks is a good skill to practice. 當然，除了在機場，其他也有需要高度安檢的地方。越來越多的旅游勝地也大大加強了安檢力度。因此安檢的探討也是需要踐行的。
