Meeting to discuss a proposal is like an internalnegotiation. The people at the table may have different opinions about the best option or course of action. These people need to support their ideas with strong reasons and try to convince others of their position. In the end, only one option or proposal will be chosen, so it’s important to come prepared.

開會(huì)討論提議就像是國(guó)際協(xié)商。圍坐在會(huì)議桌旁的人們對(duì)最好的選擇或行動(dòng)方向有不同的看法。人們需要用有力的理由來(lái)支持自己的觀點(diǎn)并說(shuō)服他人。最后，只有一項(xiàng)提議或選擇被敲定，所以事先有準(zhǔn)備是很重要的。

In this lesson, we’ll focus on defining options and outlining both advantages and disadvantages of a proposal. We’ll also see how we can show that we’ve fully examined a potential vendor’s background and how we can support our ideas with solid reasons.

這節(jié)課中，我們來(lái)學(xué)習(xí)下限定選擇和勾畫提議的優(yōu)點(diǎn)和缺點(diǎn)。也會(huì)來(lái)看下如何展示我們已經(jīng)全面調(diào)查過(guò)潛在供貨商的背景，并用有力的理由來(lái)支持我們的觀點(diǎn)。

In today’s dialog, we’ll listen to Steve meeting with his HR and Line managers. Steve has found an external vendor, called Lexis, to conduct language training. Steve is trying to convince the managers to choose the blended delivery model proposed by Lexis.
