今天學(xué)的詞組是upbeat。Upbeat指的是音樂上的弱拍， 也有快樂、樂觀的意思。 比如，美國(guó)11月7號(hào)舉行國(guó)會(huì)中期選舉，許多共和黨人擔(dān)心他們會(huì)失去在國(guó)會(huì)的多數(shù)席位，可是布什總統(tǒng)和他的高級(jí)助手卻相當(dāng)樂觀。有報(bào)道說(shuō)，"President Bush and his top advisers remain upbeat about GOP prospects."

不過布什政府在另外一個(gè)問題上， 也就是伊拉克問題上卻樂觀不起來(lái)了，"The U.S. government was not so upbeat on the current situation in Iraq." 隨著伊拉克安全局勢(shì)的惡化，許多美國(guó)人擔(dān)心伊拉克戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)不會(huì)有好的結(jié)局，"They worry it may not have an upbeat ending." 今天學(xué)的詞是upbeat...
