Victor：Nancy今天我們來學一下roommate。

Nancy：He’s my roommate.

Victor：他就是我的室友。

Nancy：Technically this means you share a room， but we also use it for people who share a house or an apartment.

Victor：從廣泛的意義上講就是指你們兩個住在一個房子里面，但是你們也可以講住在一個公寓里面。

Nancy：You should actually say housemate， but every one says roommate.

Victor：當然你可以說housemate，但是最專業(yè)的詞叫roommate。

Nancy： Victor，remember，in Western countries it’s very common for men and women to be roommates， but not boyfriends and girlfriends.

Victor：大家千萬不要把roommates和boyfriends及girlfriends搞混。

Nancy：So, he’s my roommate.

Victor：He’s my roommate.

Nancy：Thanks for coming.
