The legal disputes between Britney Spears and her father, Jamie, continue.

On Tuesday, April 30, Jamie, 71, filed a motion for summary judgment pertaining to financial objections from the 42-year-old singer’s previous conservatorship in an effort to avoid proceeding with a trial, per court documents obtained by PEOPLE.

"Jamie brings this motion because there are no triable issues of material fact and Jamie is entitled to judgment as a matter of law on Britney’s Objections,” reads the filing.

He is seeking a summary judgment regarding Britney’s objections — compensation to Tri Star Sports & Entertainment and payment of attorneys’ fees to Sidley Austin LLP — both of which were made while Jamie was her conservator.

Along with Britney’s two objections, Jamie is seeking a judgment regarding her three requests for more information: accounting compensation to Tri Star Sports & Entertainment, payment of rent for storage space and investment valuation differences.

Accordingly, Jamie is entitled to summary judgment (or adjudication) on each of the five issues raised in Britney’s November 6, 2020 filing,” per the court filing.

As a result, Jamie wants a judge to overrule all of the singer’s objections and remove their "May 13, 2024 trial off the calendar.”

Additionally, the court documents state that Jamie wants the twelfth accounting approved, alleging that Britney's objections "fail as a matter of law" because Jamie "acted within the scope of his authority as conservator when approving the compensation at issue." Jamie’s counsel also claims that in addition to Britney’s current objections, it is too late for the singer to object to other compensations.
