The Australian actors, who met on the set of Correlli in 1995, are splitting after 27 years of marriage, per a statement shared with PEOPLE.

The couple celebrated their 27th wedding anniversary in April. On Instagram, Hugh Jackman wrote, "I love you Deb. Today is our 27th wedding anniversary. 27 YEARS!! I love you so much. Together we have created a beautiful family. And life. Your laughter, your spirit, generosity, humor, cheekiness, courage, and loyalty is an incredible gift to me. I love you with all my heart."

The pair signed the statement "Deb and Hugh Jackman," and clarified that it would be the only statement they'd make about the matter.

The Jackmans jointly donated over $1 million to the SAG-AFTRA Foundation to support striking actors last month.

They also appeared in the 2010 documentary Seeds of Hope and the 2014 documentary Dukale's Dream, which both explored Ethiopian coffee farming, and three episodes of Kimchi Chronicles in 2011.
