不靠譜的同事常說(shuō)的幾句話

You can hear it in their voice.

你可以從話語(yǔ)中察覺(jué)。

When an employee, contractor, business partner, or even a customer is not planning to deliver on what he or she has promised, you can always tell. Listen to the exact wording, voice inflection, and maybe a hint of deviousness, but these phrases are always a red flag. They reveal the person intends to fail.

當(dāng)員工，合同工，生意伙伴甚至是顧客不能兌現(xiàn)承諾時(shí)，你總是有辦法察覺(jué)到的。聽(tīng)他們的措辭，音調(diào)或許話風(fēng)的轉(zhuǎn)變，但聽(tīng)到這幾句話要注意了，它們預(yù)示著這些人往往不可靠。

1. "I will do my best...."

1.“我盡力去…”

If you hear this one, make a plan. The person is not going to do their best. In fact, it's a warning sign that the person already knows they cannot complete the task. Whatever happens, it will end in failure.

聽(tīng)到這句話，還是做個(gè)備用計(jì)劃更保險(xiǎn)。說(shuō)這種話的人基本上是不會(huì)盡力的。事實(shí)上，這句話已經(jīng)透露出這人無(wú)法勝任這項(xiàng)任務(wù)。不管怎樣都會(huì)失敗。

2. "Let me get back to you on that..."

2.我等等給你…的答復(fù)

I've heard this one at trade-shows many times. It means the exact opposite. The person saying this phrase won't get back to you...ever.

我經(jīng)常在貿(mào)易展會(huì)聽(tīng)到這句話，意思恰恰相反。說(shuō)這話的人之后是永遠(yuǎn)不會(huì)給你答復(fù)的。

3. "I have some good ideas on that..."

3.關(guān)于…我有些好主意。

It's a red flag when people tell you about an idea. It's a stall. If the idea was that great, the person would just do it and the problem would be resolved.

當(dāng)有人告訴你他的一個(gè)主意時(shí)聽(tīng)到這句話你要注意了，這是在拖延時(shí)間。如果這個(gè)主意真的是很棒的話，這人會(huì)立馬去做，問(wèn)題也早就解決了。

4. "I will try..."

4.我會(huì)去試試看…

Not everyone has seen the original Star Wars movies. There is no try, per Yoda. When someone says "try" it's a code word. It means: "I know I am going to fail..."

并不是所有人都看過(guò)星球大戰(zhàn)。正如里頭Yoda說(shuō)的：“沒(méi)有試一試這種說(shuō)法”當(dāng)有人說(shuō)“試一試”時(shí)候,其實(shí)就是說(shuō)我將會(huì)失敗。

5. "Actually..."

實(shí)際上…

This is a harmless word, right? Yet, it means trouble. What comes after it is a mild rebuttal, but the person is not really that sure. "Actually" they are planning to fail.

這個(gè)詞聽(tīng)起來(lái)無(wú)害，是嗎?實(shí)際上就意味著麻煩。說(shuō)完這個(gè)之后就是溫柔的辯駁，但是這個(gè)人對(duì)此并不確信。“實(shí)際上……”他們會(huì)失敗。

6. "You have my word on that..."

6.“我答應(yīng)你…”

Confident people don't use this phrase. Why bother?The person who needs to trust you will either do that or won't do that, despite whether you say this phrase.

有信心的人是不會(huì)說(shuō)這句話的。何必這么說(shuō)一句呢?需要對(duì)你充分信任的人要么答應(yīng)去做要么拒絕做，不管你有沒(méi)有說(shuō)這句話。
