2022考研英語閱讀解題思路：猜詞題

　　猜詞題解題思路

　　該題型在每年的考研英語真題中考查并不多，通常是一題或兩題。但是其解題思路有著固定的規(guī)律可循，還是比較容易得分的題目。首先猜詞題的題干是很容易識別的，要求猜測的單詞或句子會用引號標出，而且會在原文劃線標識出。比如：The word “gizmos” (Line 1, Paragraph 2) most probably means ___. By saying “Stratford cries poor traditionally”, the author implies that___.下面以真題為例解讀一下猜詞的過程。

　　As a result, the modern world is increasingly populated by intelligent gizmos whose presence we barely notice but whose universal existence has removed much human labor. Our factories hum to the rhythm of robot assembly arms. Our banking is done at automated teller terminals that thank us with mechanical politeness for the transaction. Our subway trains are controlled by tireless robot-drivers.

　　題干：The word “gizmos” most probably means ________.

　　[A] programs [B] experts [C] devices [D] creatures

　　解析：題目要求猜測首句中“gizmos”的含義，根據(jù)首句中的定語從句whose presence we barely notice but whose universal existence has removed much human labor.可以得知，這種東西的存在很少被注意到，但是它們卻減少了很多的人類勞動。根據(jù)這個特點還不足以判斷出是什么東西。所以繼續(xù)順延看下文，出現(xiàn)了三個舉例：Our factories hum to the rhythm of robot assembly arms. 我們的工廠里轟鳴著機器人組裝臂的聲音;Our banking is done at automated teller terminals that thank us with mechanical politeness for the transaction.我們的銀行業(yè)務也是被自動出納終端完成;Our subway trains are controlled by tireless robot-drivers.地鐵由不知疲倦的機器人駕駛員操作。由這些舉例可以總結出，這類東西應該是機器設備。所以答案選擇[C] devices設備裝置。其他選項[A] programs程序[B] experts專家[D] creatures生物，都不具備機器的含義，可以完全排除。
