　　作副詞：

　　作形容詞：

　　Came back soon. the back door

　　馬上回來。 后門

　　You can dial Rome direct. the most direct route

　　你可以直撥羅馬。 最直接的路線

　　The train went fast. a fast train

　　火車開得很快。 一列快車

　　They worked hard. The work is hard.

　　他們干得很賣勁。(精力旺盛地) 這是一項(xiàng)艱苦的工作。

　　an ill-made road You look ill/well.

　　修得很差的路 你氣色不好/很好。

　　Turn right here. the right answer

　　從這里往右轉(zhuǎn)。 正確答案

　　She went straight home. a straight line

　　她直接回家了。 一條直線

　　He led us wrong. This is the wrong way.

　　他給我們帶錯(cuò)路了。 這種方法不對。

　　上述帶星號的詞也有l(wèi)y形式，注意它們的意思。

　　deeply(深深地)主要用于表達(dá)感情：

　　He was deeply offended.

　　他被深深地觸怒了。

　　directly(直接)主要用于時(shí)間和聯(lián)系方面：

　　He’ll be here directly.

　　他馬上就到。(馬上)www.Examda.CoM

　　The new regulations will affect us directly/indirectly.

　　新的規(guī)章制度直接/不直接影響我們。

　　highly(高)主要用于表示抽象概念：

　　He was a highly paid official.

　　他是高薪官員。

　　They spoke very highly of him.

　　他們對他的評價(jià)很高。

　　justly(公正地)與形容詞just(意為fair公正的，right正確的，lawful合法的)相對應(yīng)。但just也可用為程度副詞。

　　lately(=recently最近)：

　　Have you seen him lately?

　　你最近看到過他嗎?

　　mostly(=chiefly主要地)

　　nearly(=almost差不多)：

　　I’m nearly ready.

　　我差不多快好了。
