失音，也就是前面單詞結(jié)尾輔音與緊隨其后的單詞的起始輔音為同一個音時，不用將這個音發(fā)兩次，而是合并成一個音，同時發(fā)音稍微延長。

托福聽力連讀規(guī)則技巧介紹：元音+元音
元音對元音的連讀是通過在元音之間插入半元音 [j] 或 [w] 來實現(xiàn)的。這樣能夠使純元音音節(jié)之間的過渡變得自然、流暢，讀起來更加上口。
前面的單詞以元音 [e] 或 結(jié)尾，緊隨其后 的單詞以元音開頭，這時在兩個單詞之間出現(xiàn)半元音 [j] 作為過渡。
