一、引導(dǎo)讓步狀語從句的從屬連詞

1.though，although

Although they are twins，they look entirely different.

他們雖是雙胞胎，但是相貌卻完全不同。

I like her even though she can be annoying.盡管她有時很惱人，但我還是喜歡她。

【提示】

①though，although不能和but連用，但可以加副詞yet或still。

Although/Though it has been raining hard，yet/still the lane is passable.

雖然一直下著大雨，可是這條小巷仍可通行。

②though 可用作副詞，一般位于句末，用逗號隔開，意為“然而，可是”。

She said that she would be present at the meeting，but she didn’t，though.

她說她會出席會議，然而卻沒有。

2.even if，even though

They’ll stand by you even if you don’t succeed.即使你不成功，他們也會支持你。

Even if/Even though she laughs at him，he likes her.盡管她嘲笑他，他還是很喜歡她。

Even if he had the money，he wouldn’t buy it.他即使有錢也不會買它。（虛擬語氣）

3.as

（1）名詞+as+主語+動詞

King as he was，he was unhappy.他雖是國王，但他并不幸福。

Child as he is，he knows to help other.他雖是個孩子，卻知道幫助別人。

【提示】 位于句首的名詞無論其前有無形容詞修飾，習(xí)慣上不用冠詞。

（2）形容詞+as+主語+動詞

Successful as he is，he is not proud.他雖然成功，但不驕傲。

Stupid as it sounds，I was so in love with her that I believed her.

盡管聽起來很愚蠢，我是如此愛她，竟然相信了她的話。

（3）副詞+as+主語+動詞

Much as I like Paris，I couldn’t live there.盡管我喜歡巴黎，但我不能住在那里。

Hard as they tried，they couldn’t make her change her mind.

盡管他們做了很大努力，卻沒法讓她改變主意。

（4）動詞原形+as+主語+動詞

Object as you may，I’ll go.縱使你反對，我也要去。

Try as he might，he couldn’t solve the problem.盡管他想方設(shè)法，卻未能解決這個問題。

（5）分詞+as+主語+動詞

Raining hard as it is，I’m going out for a walk.雖然正在下著大雨，我還是要出去散步。

Surrounded as we were by the enemy，we managed to march forward.

雖然我們被敵人包圍著，但我們還是設(shè)法前進了。

【提示】 as引導(dǎo)讓步狀語從句時，可與though互換。

【辨析】雖然很晚了，但我們還是繼續(xù)工作。

【正】Late as/though it was，we still went on working.

【正】Though it was late，we still went on working.

【誤】Late although it was，we still went on we working.（although不用于倒裝句）

【誤】As it was late，we still went on working.（as引導(dǎo)讓步狀語從句，不用陳述語序）

4.while

While he was tired，he went on working.雖然他累了，但他還是繼續(xù)工作。

While I understand what you say，I can’t agree with you.

雖然我理解你的意思，但我還是不同意。

【提示】 while引導(dǎo)讓步狀語從句，一般位于句首。

5.whether ...or

I won’t stay with you whether you’ll leave or stay at home.

無論你想走還是留在家中我都不會和你在一起。

I’ll do it whether you like it or not.不管你是否喜歡，我都要做。

【提示】 whether ...or后面的那個并列成分可用or not來代替。
