七、同位語

1.同位語的構成

（1）名詞作同位語

Mr Smith，our new teacher ，is very kind to us.

我們的新老師史密斯先生對我們很好。

Yesterday I met Tom，a friend of my brother’s. 昨天我遇到了我弟弟的朋友湯姆。

（2）代詞作同位語

We can all speak English.我們都會講英語。

Have you each handed in a picture to me？ 你們每人都交繪畫給我了嗎？

（3）數詞作同位語

You may leave it to us two .你可以把這件事交給我們兩個。

Then we three began to prepare for the trip.接著，我們三人開始為那次行程做準備。

（4）形容詞作同位語

He read all kinds of books，ancient and modern，Chinese and foreign .

他讀過各種各樣的古今中外的書籍。

People here，old and young ，supported the project.這兒的老少都支持這項工程。

（5）動名詞作同位語

I’m looking for a job，repairing cars .我在找一份修車的工作。

He enjoys the exercise，swimming in winter .他喜歡冬泳這項運動。

（6）不定式作同位語

Soon came the order to start the general attack.很快下達了總攻命令。

The question what to do next hasn’t been considered.下一步干什么還未考慮。

（7）從句作同位語

Where did you get the idea that I could not come ？ 你在哪兒聽說我不能來？

Give me your promise that you will come to our party this evening .

答應我，你今天晚上會來參加我們的晚會。

2.同位語的引導方式

（1）同位語通常用逗號與其所修飾的先行詞隔開，表示一種普通的同位關系。

This is Mr Black，director of our hospital.這是布萊克先生，我們醫(yī)院院長。

（2）用破折號或冒號引導同位語。

The orphan’s daily necessities — clothes，food，etc.— are supplied by a kind-hearted teacher.這個孤兒的衣食等日常必需品由好心的老師提供。

（3）有時同位語前可加especially，for example，in short，mainly，namely，that is，in particular，in other words，such as等引導詞。

He is interested in sports，especially ball games .他喜歡運動，特別是球類運動。

A lot of people here，for example，John ，would rather have coffee.

這里許多人，例如約翰，寧愿喝咖啡。
