二、某些動詞后的賓語從句中的虛擬語氣

1.及物動詞+that+主語+（should）+do sth.

advise 勸告　　　arrange 安排　　　command 命令　　　demand 要求

desire 渴望　　　direct指示　　　　insist 堅持　　　 intend 打算

order 命令　　　 prefer 寧愿　　　 propose 提議　　　recommend 推薦

request 要求　　 require 要求　　　suggest 建議　　　urge 主張

He insisted that I （should）pay the money at once.他堅持要我馬上付錢。

I ordered that it （should）be sent home.我命令把它送回家去。

He commanded that we （should）attack at once.他命令我們立即發(fā)起進(jìn)攻。

He requires that I （should）appear.他要求我出場。

【提示】 這類句子的被動結(jié)構(gòu)是“It was done+that從句”。

It was proposed that this matter be discussed next time.有人提議這事下次再討論。

2.insist后的賓語從句

（1）賓語從句中的謂語動詞所表示的動作發(fā)生在insist之后，則用虛擬語氣。

He insisted that I （should）go with them.他堅持要我同他們一起去。

（2）賓語從句中的謂語動詞所表示的動作發(fā)生在insist之前，則用陳述語氣。

He insisted that he hadn’t stolen the money.他堅稱沒有偷錢。

【比較】

①He insisted that I had read his letter.

他堅持說我看過他的信。（read 發(fā)生在insist之前）

②He insisted that I should read his letter.

他堅持要我看他的信。（read 發(fā)生在insist之后）

3.suggest后的賓語從句

（1）suggest表示“建議”時，則用虛擬語氣。

He suggested that we （should）stay for dinner.他建議我們留下吃飯。

（2）suggest表示“表明，暗示”時，則用陳述語氣。

What he said suggested that he was a cheat.他說的話表明他是個騙子。

The smile on his face suggested that he agreed to this plan.

他臉上的微笑表明他同意這項計劃。
