一、助動詞的作用

1.構(gòu)成時態(tài)

He is singing.他在唱歌。

He has arrived.他已經(jīng)到了。

Tomorrow will be the first day of autumn.明天是秋天的第一天。

2.構(gòu)成語態(tài)

He was sent to England.他被派往英國。

The children have been having a lot of run.孩子們一直玩得很開心。

3.構(gòu)成疑問句

Do you like college life？ 你喜歡大學(xué)生活嗎？

Did you study French？ 你們學(xué)過法語嗎？

Are the small animals kept in the cages？ 小動物都關(guān)在籠子里嗎？

4.與not一起構(gòu)成否定

I don’t like him.我不喜歡他。

If it should not snow tomorrow，we would not leave.明天不下雪，我們就不走。

5.強調(diào)謂語

I do love you.我真的喜歡你。

Do come to my birthday party.一定來參加我的生日宴會。

I did go there.我確實去那兒了。

6.構(gòu)成倒裝句

Never did I hear of such a thing.我從未聽說過這樣的事情。

Under no circumstances will I lend money to him.無論如何我也不會借錢給他。

Only when we begin our college life do we realize the importance of English.

只有在開始大學(xué)生活時我們才認識到英語的重要性。

7.替代實義動詞

He made a mistake the other day and he did the same mistake again yesterday.

幾天前他犯了一個錯誤，昨天他又犯了相同的錯誤。（did代替made）

— She loves roses most.她最愛玫瑰花了。

— So she does.她確實最愛玫瑰花。（does代替loves）
