三、并列句
并列句是由并列連詞把兩個或兩個以上簡單句連接在一起而構成的句子。連詞前可用逗號，也可以不用逗號。并列句中的分句均用降調朗讀。
并列句常用結構：簡單句+并列連詞+簡單句
使用不同的并列連詞可以表示出并列句中各分句間的不同關系。
（一）表示并列關系的連詞：and，both ...and ...，not only ...but also ...，as well as，...
Tigers can run fast， and they can swim well too.老虎跑得很快，而且也會游泳。
Sone students are interested in music and others are fond of playing basketball.一些學生對音樂感興趣，但一些學生喜歡打籃球。（并列）
（二）表示轉折關系的連詞：but，while，still，yet，...
My grandfather is very old but he is in good health.我爺爺年紀很大，但身體很健康。
Mum is reading a book， while Dad is watching TV.媽媽在看書，然而爸爸在看視。
（三）表示選擇關系的連詞：or，otherwise，either ...or ...，neither ...nor ...，...
Hurry up or you won't catch the school bus.快點，不然你趕不上校車了。You'd better go now， otherwise you'll miss the train.你最好現在就走，不然你要錯過火車了。
（四）表示因果關系的連詞：so，because，for，...
I have to stay up late， for I have lots of homework to do.我不得不熬夜了，因為我有很多作業(yè)要做。
The earth moves round the sun， so we have four seasons.太陽繞著地球轉，因此我們有四個季節(jié)。
I had a toothache， because I had so many sweets.我牙疼是因為吃了太多的糖。
