二、序數(shù)詞

表示順序的數(shù)詞叫序數(shù)詞。

在句子中，序數(shù)詞前面常常要加定冠詞“the”。如：the first number 第一個(gè)數(shù)字，the third unit 第三單元

（一）1—3的序數(shù)詞。括號(hào)內(nèi)為序數(shù)詞的簡略形式（以下同）

first （1st ）second （2nd ）third （3rd ）

（二）4—19的序數(shù)詞是由“基數(shù)詞+th”構(gòu)成

fourth （4th ）　fifth （5th ）　sixth （6th ）

seventh （7th ）　eighth （8th ）　ninth （9th ）

tenth （10th ）　eleventh （11th ）　twelfth （12th ）

thirteenth （13th ）　fourteenth （14th ）　fifteenth （15th ）

sixteenth （16th ）　seventeenth （17th ）　eighteenth （18th ）

nineteenth （19 th ）

（三）20—100的序數(shù)詞

整十?dāng)?shù)的序數(shù)詞是把整十?dāng)?shù)的詞尾“y”改寫成“i”，然后加“eth”

twentieth （20th ）　thirtieth （30th ）　fortieth （40th ）

fiftieth （50th ）　sixtieth （60th ）　seventieth （70th ）

eightieth （80th ）　ninetieth （90th ）

其他兩位數(shù)序數(shù)詞的表示方法由“幾十幾”變化而來，十位數(shù)不變，個(gè)位數(shù)上的基數(shù)詞變成序數(shù)詞

第21 twenty-first （21st ）　第22 twenty-second （22nd ）

第29 twenty-ninth （29th ）　第78 seventy-eighth （78th ）

“百”的序數(shù)詞在hundred詞尾直接加“th”

第100 one hundredth （100th ）

第188 one hundred and eighty-eighth （188th ）
