三、名詞的所有格

名詞中表示所有關(guān)系的形式叫做名詞的所有格，意為“……的”。

名詞所有格有兩種形式，一種是直接在名詞后加's，表示有生命的東西的所有格，如：Andy's clothes（安迪的衣服）。另一種是在介詞of后加名詞，表示沒有生命的東西的所有格，如：the top of the mountain（山的頂部）。

（一）名詞后加's，構(gòu)成所有格的方法

1.表示有生命的東西的名詞，或表示時間、國家、城鎮(zhèn)的名詞，一般在單數(shù)名詞后面直接加's

Tom's camera 湯姆的照相機　my sister's house 我姐姐的房子

a girl's name 一個女孩的名字　the boy's kite 男孩的風(fēng)箏

the woman's bag 那個女士的包　the children's toys 孩子們的玩具

2.名詞復(fù)數(shù)結(jié)尾是s，則在后加'

the teachers' office 老師們的辦公室　the kids' books 孩子們的書

3.表示幾個主語共有一樣?xùn)|西，在最后一個主語后加's，表示幾個主語各自擁有一樣?xùn)|西，在每個主語后加's

my father and my mother's car 我父母的小汽車

my father's bike and my mother's bike 我父親的自行車和我母親的自行車

4.表示時間、距離、國家、地點、自然現(xiàn)象等無生命的名詞，所有格也用's的形式。

時間：today's newspaper 今天的報紙

距離：ten minutes' walk 十分鐘的步行

國家：China's weather 中國的天氣

地點：Shanghai's parks 上海的公園

自然現(xiàn)象：the moon's light 月光

（二）of所有格：of+名詞

一般情況下，表示名詞代表的事物是無生命的，用of組成短語表示它的所有格。

the beginning of the story 故事的開始　a map of China 中國地圖

the walls of the house 房子的墻壁

the back of the classroom 教室的后面

有生命的名詞的's所有格和of所有格可以互換。如：the boy's name=the name of the boy男孩的名字

Tips：

1.名詞所有格修飾的名詞，如果上文提到過，可以省略。如

Whose book is this？It's Tim's.（Tim's=Tim's book）

Linda's bag is bigger than Susan's.（Susan's=Susan's bag）

2.名詞所有格修飾的名詞，表示某人的家、商店、學(xué)校等時，被所有格修飾的名詞常不出現(xiàn)。We are having dinner at my grandparents' tonight.（ my grandparents'=my grandparents' house ）

3.a photo of my mother與a photo of my mother's的區(qū)別

It is a photo of my mother.這是我母親的一張照片。（照片里是我母親本人）

It is a photo of my mother's.這是我母親收集的照片中的一張。（指照片里不一定是我母親本人）
