Yangshuo lies in northeast Guangxi Province and is southeast of Guilin City. Yangshuo's special geography makes it breathtakingly beautiful, while over l,400 years of history blesses the town with a deep traditional culture. Yangshuo is one of the most famous tourist destinations around Guilin. It boasts gorgeous natural scenery, mysterious ancient local dwellings, and a diverse culture and customs. Several places in the surrounding area offer different kinds of entertainment and other enjoyable activities. One such place, located in the center of the region, the West Street (Xi Jie) attracts so many tourists from all over the world that it is called the “Global Village”. People from different countries manage stores, cafes and restaurants, giving the street an exotic flavor.

Yangshuo was one of the first places to be designated and developed as a tourist resort by the Chinese Government and its scenery is far more beautiful than that of Guilin. More than twenty thousand hills and seventeen rivers are located in and around Yangshuo. We can see picturesque landscapes and various cultural heritages here. During your visit, you may also see a great variety of ancient buildings and bridges, as well as calligraphy or scripts written by famous people.
