Todd: Are you OK?

May: I'm fine. I'm just so touched by the sad story.

Todd: So I can say now that you must have enjoyed the opera. Which scene is your favorite?

May: I love them all. But if I had to name one as the best, I would say it's the ending.

Todd: What's it about? You know, I couldn't help falling asleep.

May: Did you? I didn't notice that. But still you should know it, for you have seen it with Laura before.

Todd: I guess I've done the same thing last time I was here with her, too. I mean falling asleep. For me, this one is not that attractive.

May: Then I doubt if you like operas at all.

Todd: Yes. I like Carmen very much. But I don't mind if you want to tell me about this one.

May: OK, then. The man was old and he was visiting his wife's grave, with a rose in his hand. When he got there, he saw someone already put a rose on her grave.

Todd: Very impressive. And I do like the leading actress who has an amazing voice.

May: Me, too. There was always a good round of applause every time she sings.

Todd: Yes, the applause! That was what kept waking me up during the show.

May: And it's been such a faultless performance with the perfect lighting, and music. Just amazing!

Todd: No doubt it's not a simple thing to put on a “phantom show”.

May: Exactly.

托德：你還好嗎？

阿美：我沒(méi)事。我只是被那個(gè)悲傷的故事感動(dòng)了。

托德：那么我敢說(shuō)你一定很喜歡這場(chǎng)歌劇。你最喜歡哪一幕呢？

阿美：我都喜歡。但是如果一定要說(shuō)一幕最喜歡的，我覺(jué)得是結(jié)尾的那一幕。

托德：它是怎樣的？你知道，我忍不住睡著了（所有沒(méi)有看到）。

阿美：是嗎？我沒(méi)有注意到。但是你還是應(yīng)該知道的啊，因?yàn)槟阋郧昂土_拉一起看過(guò)。

托德：我才我上回合她來(lái)這里的時(shí)候也做了相同的事情。我是指睡著的事。對(duì)我來(lái)講，這出戲不是那么有吸引力。

阿美：那么我就懷疑你是否喜歡歌劇了。

托德：喜歡。我非常喜歡歌劇“卡門”。但是我也不介意你告訴我這部歌劇的內(nèi)容。

阿美：那好吧。那個(gè)男人老了，他去他妻子的墳前，手拿一枝玫瑰，但是當(dāng)他到那里的時(shí)候，他發(fā)現(xiàn)已經(jīng)有人在她的墳前放了一枝玫瑰。

托德：非常感人啊。我確實(shí)很喜歡那個(gè)女主角，她的聲音非常棒。

阿美：我也喜歡她。她每次演唱的時(shí)候，都會(huì)有一陣特別熱烈的掌聲。

托德：對(duì)了，掌聲。就是它在演出的過(guò)程中不停地把我吵醒。

阿美：這是一場(chǎng)完美的演出，配有完美的燈光和音樂(lè)。簡(jiǎn)直太精彩了。

托德：毫無(wú)疑問(wèn)，要上演一場(chǎng)“幽靈秀”一定不是一件簡(jiǎn)單的事情。
