情態(tài)動(dòng)詞can和be able to, may

1.情態(tài)動(dòng)詞can 和be able to

can 和be able to 都可以表示有某種能力，但can只能用于現(xiàn)在時(shí)和過去時(shí)（could）,而be able to 可以用于任何時(shí)態(tài)。

I can do this job. 我能做這個(gè)工作。

I will be able to do this job soon. 我很快就能做這個(gè)工作。

如果表示“成功地做了謀事”時(shí)，只能用was/were able to，例如：

He was able to flee the country before the war broke out. 在戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)爆發(fā)之前，他成功地逃離了這個(gè)國(guó)家。

2.情態(tài)動(dòng)詞may

may 表示允許或請(qǐng)求，和沒有把握的推測(cè)。當(dāng)may放在句首，表示祝愿。
