老子《道德經(jīng)》英譯第二十一章

　　【原文】

　　孔德之容，惟道是從。

　　道之為物，惟恍惟惚。惚兮恍兮，其中有象;恍兮惚兮，其中有物。窈兮冥兮，其中有精;其精甚真;其中有信。

　　自今及古，其名不去，以閱眾甫。吾何以知眾甫之狀哉?以此。

　　【現(xiàn)代漢語】

　　‘道’對于物質(zhì)世界作用的體現(xiàn)是極其巨大的，它的運作軌跡，完全依照著‘道’的準(zhǔn)則。

　　‘道’本身是若有若無，不可形容的。‘道’雖然恍惚無形，卻引發(fā)物質(zhì)世界的所有現(xiàn)象，雖然恍惚無形，卻孕育創(chuàng)造了宇宙萬物。‘道’是如此深遠暗昧，卻產(chǎn)生了創(chuàng)造世界的最微小的原質(zhì);這最微小的原質(zhì)是非常真實具體的，它是能夠被驗證為可信的。

　　從現(xiàn)在上溯到遠古，‘道’是始終存在的，我們依據(jù)它去探尋萬物的起源。我是如何知道萬物起始的情形呢?就是通過‘道’來認知的。

　　The effect to practical world from 'Tao' is grand and huge. The track of its movement follows 'Tao' absolutely.

　　'Tao' itself is immesurable and inexpressible. 'Tao' arouses all phenomena of the world although it is so immesurable; 'Tao' gestates and creates the universe although it is so inexpressible; 'Tao' is far-reaching and dark, but the smallest micro hypostasis that creates the world is come from it. The smallest micro hypostasis is true and it could be proved authentic.

　　To trace back to ancient times from today, 'Tao' is existent all the time. We can explore the genesis of universe through the 'Tao'. How can I know the status of the genesis of all things? I study it through the principle of Tao's.

　　老子講科學(xué)了——“‘道’是如此深遠暗昧，卻產(chǎn)生了創(chuàng)造世界的最微小的原質(zhì);”——純科學(xué)!

　　對圣人之所以信服的五體投地，無以復(fù)加，就是因為這個。他的知識、智慧是從哪里來的呢?可能天生的，用老百姓的土話講就是“胎里帶”。對照佛祖釋迦牟尼的語錄：“三千大千世界”……他又是如何得知呢?而且絕不是妄語，是被科學(xué)證實了的(幾千以后)。
