Thank you for writing. Of course I remember you. I enjoyed our conversation on the train very much. I found you very fun to be with. I wouldn’t deny that I felt some attraction for you, but I can’t be sure if we would make a good couple. After all, we only met once. I hope you didn’t really give up a good job opportunity just because of me, though I’m very flattered that you think so much of me.

Even though I’m not sure of my feelings for you, if I still don’t have a boyfriend when you come back to Japan, I can go on a date with you. Then we will see how things go, okay?

本句使用“I wish -+- that引導(dǎo)的過去完成式從句”，這是與過

去事實(shí)相反的虛擬語氣。若欲表與現(xiàn)在事實(shí)相反的虛擬語氣

時(shí)，that從句須使用過去式(但be動(dòng)詞則一律使用were)。

例:I wish you were here. (But you are not here.)
