我要請(qǐng)你千萬(wàn)，千萬(wàn)記住，不是一定要抓住聽眾的注意，而是一定要抓住有利的注意。請(qǐng)留意我說(shuō)的是“有利的”注意。有理性的人決不會(huì)一開口就侮辱聽眾，或說(shuō)些教人憎惡、討厭的言語(yǔ)，讓他們?nèi)浩鸱磳?duì)他，反對(duì)他的言論。然而，演講的人卻常常會(huì)以下面兩種方式之一來(lái)吸引注意，那是十分不明智的。Please, please, I urge you, remember that you must not only capture the attention of your audience, but you must capture their favorable attention. Please note that I said favorable attention. No rational person would begin a talk by insulting his audience or by making any obnoxious or disagreeable statement that would turn them against him and his message. Yet how frequently speakers begin talks by attracting attention through the use of one of the following devices.
