①現(xiàn)在分詞可以用來修飾前面的名詞，實際上，現(xiàn)在分詞直接修飾名詞作后置定語是來自定語從句中關(guān)系代詞的省略。

There are many people seeking for new jobs.句子中seeking for new jobs 原來是定語從句中的一部分。這個句子之前包含有定語從句：There are many people (who are) seeking for new jobs.后面我們會講到，名詞后面的從句是可以刪去的，所以由從句轉(zhuǎn)化而來的動名詞也是可以刪去的。

The street was crowded with many people seeking for new jobs.

這個句子是我們之前講到的“介詞+名詞”結(jié)構(gòu)。我們發(fā)現(xiàn)，這個結(jié)構(gòu)是“介詞+名詞”和“名詞+動名詞”的結(jié)合體。由于seeking for new jobs 是修飾people 的，而people 又是位于介詞之后，所以，這一大部分都可以刪去。句子就刪減成：The street was crowded.

Clooney, whose father was a newsman and whose film Good Night, and Good Luck examined the celebrated work of television journalist Edward R Murrow, reportedly plans an All the Presidents Men-style procedural examining Davies' investigation into Rupert Murdoch's media empire and its questionable practices for confirming celebrity scoops.

The actor and director said last month:“This has all the elements —lying, corruption, blackmail—at the highest levels of government by the biggest newspaper in London.And the fact that it's true is the best part.Nick is a brave and stubborn reporter and we consider it an honour to put his book to film.”

Shooting on the film, also expected to be titled Hack Attack, will begin next year.
