Beauty has no nationality or race—and although our world is slowly moving towards a place where this statement is accepted by all people, a part of our society needs a little reminder of that. This is exactly the mission of "The Ethnic Origins of Beauty," a project that highlights the ethnic diversity of mankind through gorgeous portraits of women of different ethnic groups across the world.

美沒有國籍，也沒有種族，盡管我們的世界正在慢慢地向一個(gè)被所有人接受這一說法的方向發(fā)展，但我們社會的一部分需要提醒一下。這正是“美的民族起源”項(xiàng)目的使命，該項(xiàng)目通過對世界各地不同民族女性的華麗肖像，突出了人類的種族多樣性。

This non-profit art and documentary project started in 2012 by Paris-based Russian photographer, writer, and photojournalist Natalia Ivanova, and is still going strong. To prove that we live in a rich, beautiful, and diverse world, and it's never going to change, she has chosen a universal language of beauty and continues to educate people to be more tolerant toward each other.

這個(gè)非營利性的藝術(shù)和紀(jì)錄片項(xiàng)目始于2012年，由居住在巴黎的俄羅斯攝影師、作家和攝影記者Natalia Ivanova發(fā)起，目前仍在發(fā)展壯大。為了證明我們生活在一個(gè)豐富、美麗和多樣化的世界，這個(gè)世界永遠(yuǎn)不會改變，她選擇了一種通用的美麗語言，并繼續(xù)教育人們更加寬容地對待彼此。

"The objective of this project is to show the real scale of ethnocultural diversity in a full, systematic and creative way; to illustrate each and every distinctive ethnicity," Ivanova writes on her website. Each ethnic group is represented by 3 young women aged 18-35 who have belonged to that ethnicity for at least three generations through intimate portraits and video interviews.

Just a few years into the project, Ivanova had almost 100 photo and video portraits representing over 50 ethnic groups from 15 different countries across 4 continents in her collection. The numbers have grown since and we decided to share her best photographs!

短短幾年的項(xiàng)目，Ivanova有近100張照片和視頻肖像，代表超過50個(gè)民族，來自15個(gè)不同的國家，橫跨4大洲。從那以后，她的照片越來越多，我們決定分享她最好的照片!
