Amsterdam-based artist Cedric Laquieze creates surreal-looking sculptures of fairies by piecing together various dead insect parts.

阿姆斯特丹藝術家Cedric Laquieze通過拼裝各種昆蟲尸體，創(chuàng)造出了超現(xiàn)實主義的精靈雕塑。

Over the last 20 years, Cedric Laquieze has created hundreds of unique insect-based fairies by piecing together various bug parts that complement each other in terms of features such as color and texture. He buys and collects dead insect specimens that, most of the time, are given to him by insect breeders. Then, he gradually takes them apart and then glues together different parts of the bugs (shells, legs, antennae, wings, etc.) according to his vision.

Although some people might be creeped out by Cedric’s unusual creations, others find them utterly fascinating and praise the artist for piecing together creatures that look almost lifelike and surreal at the same time.
