Criminals in Connecticut better watch out — the kindergarten cops are on the case.

Officers in the town of Berlin are searching for a motorcyclist who fled the scene of a crash, and they have released sketches of the suspect made by the only eyewitnesses: a group of crayon-wielding elementary-schoolers.

The three youngsters, ages 6, 7 and 8, were on a playground near the Berlin Turnpike at around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday when the biker smashed his ride while apparently doing tricks.

“We set up a perimeter and did a K9 search but he eluded that,” Deputy Police Chief Chris Ciuci said.

A short time later, police caught their first break when the children approached them and said they saw the “bad guy” — and even gave the investigators a series of crayon sketches of the perp.

The images show the suspect with blood on his face — with the “blood” helpfully labeled.

One sketch (bottom) was captioned, “I don’t know how to drive,” an apparent commentary on the man’s reckless motorcycle-riding.

Another labeled the suspect as a “BaD guy” and noted he was wearing a “hat,” “shirt,” “shoes” and “shorts.”

“The kids had time to put together these sketches in a short amount of time. They did a good job,” Ciuci said. “It was very cute.”

The man is wanted for evading responsibility for failing to stop at the scene of an accident.

After sharing the pictures on Facebook, police were stunned by the outpouring of support for the young investigators.
