麥當(dāng)勞推出素炸雞,仔細(xì)一看好像挺好吃

McDonald's has become the latest fast food companyto launch a new vegan option: McVegan nuggets.

麥當(dāng)勞是最新一家推出新的素食選擇的快餐公司，新品叫做麥素雞塊。

The plant-based offering is currently being offered insome of its Norway outlets.

目前，該公司在挪威的一些門店正在提供這種素食產(chǎn)品。

A spokesperson for the global fast food chainconfirmed that the vegan nuggets are made withmashed potato, chickpeas, onion, carrots, and corn.

這家全球快餐連鎖店的發(fā)言人證實，素食雞塊由土豆泥、鷹嘴豆、洋蔥、胡蘿卜和玉米制成。

They're then coated in a layer of breadcrumbs and fried until crispy, making them look and feeljust like regular chicken nuggets.

然后裹上一層面包屑，炸至酥脆，讓它們看起來和感覺起來就像普通的雞塊一樣。

It's not the first vegan product on McDonald's ever-expanding menu though.

不過，這并不是麥當(dāng)勞菜單上的第一款素食產(chǎn)品。

The fast food company currently offers customers soy-based McVegan burger in Finland and aMcFalafel in Sweden.

In January, McDonald's released a vegan-friendly Happy Meal in the UK which includes a SpicyVeggie Wrap made from red pesto, sweetcorn, and breadcrumbs.

The wrap came under scrutiny earlier this year when McDonald's customers across the UKclaimed they found chicken inside what they thought was a vegetarian option.

Some people claimed to have been vegetarians their whole lives, and were distraught athaving felt duped into eating meat.

At the time, McDonald's issued an apology expressing their "disappointment" at anymistakes that might have been made in their kitchens.

"We have a number of procedures in place to avoid inaccurate orders," the company stated.

"After we saw that mistakes were being made, we introduced a number of additionalmeasures in our kitchens and communicated with all stores to reduce inaccuracies quickly andeffectively.

Vegan offerings have surged in popularity in recent years, with Greggs making headlines mostrecently for the advent of its vegan sausage roll.
