China's consumer market related to pets is expected to rise 27% to 170.8 billion yuan in 2018 from last year, according to the 2018 White Paper on China's Pet Industry.

據(jù)《2018年中國寵物行業(yè)白皮書》預計，2018年中國寵物消費市場將達1708億元，相比2017年增長27%。

The number of pet owners in China's cities and towns now totals 73.55 million, the white paper says. Among them 33.9 million are dog owners and 22.58 million cat owners.

該白皮書稱，目前我國城鎮(zhèn)養(yǎng)寵人數(shù)達7355萬。其中養(yǎng)狗人數(shù)和養(yǎng)貓人數(shù)分別為3390萬、2258萬。

It shows that 87.5% of dog owners were women, half of them with a bachelor's degree or above and the majority employees in companies. The cat-owning group is mainly white-collar workers and students, with young people more inclined to have cats.

白皮書顯示，87.5%的狗主人是女性，其中一半擁有學士或?qū)W士以上學位，大多數(shù)是公司員工。養(yǎng)貓的群體主要是白領和學生，年輕人更傾向于養(yǎng)貓。

Owners are prepared to lavish money on pets, with the estimated annual spending 5,016 yuan for each animal in 2018, up 15% from the previous year.

寵物主人愿為寵物大把花錢，2018年單只寵物年消費金額預計達5016元，相比2017年增長15%。

Data also showed that bath shampoo and other fur care items, toys, collars and leashes were the main products dog owners bought. The top three cat supplies were found to be litter, toys and scratch boards.

數(shù)據(jù)還顯示，狗主人購買的主要用品是浴液香波及其他護毛產(chǎn)品、玩具、項圈和牽引帶。而貓用品排在前三的是貓砂、玩具和貓抓板。

洗毛精、其他毛皮護理用品、玩具、項圈和皮帶是狗主人購買的主要產(chǎn)品。而貓的前三種用品則是垃圾、玩具和刮板。

About 53% of pet owners said they are not satisfied with veterinary services. Leading reasons were the lack of supervision over medical fees and qualified veterinarians.

大約有53%的寵物主人表示他們對獸醫(yī)服務不滿意。主要原因是因為缺乏對醫(yī)療費用和合格獸醫(yī)的監(jiān)督。
