年畫，是中華民族因傳統(tǒng)的農(nóng)歷新年而產(chǎn)生并發(fā)展起來的一種古老的、用于祈福迎新的民間繪畫藝術(shù)形式，為廣大中國百姓所喜聞樂見。每逢中國農(nóng)歷新年（即春節(jié)）來臨之時，中國人家家戶戶都會買上幾張花花綠綠、象征吉祥富貴的年畫，貼在自家大門和房門上，營造出一種祥和、歡樂的節(jié)日氣氛，充分展示出中國人對生活更富足、更幸福的祈望和憧憬。

The New Year painting is a form of ancient folk painting that was developed to celebrate the traditional Chinese Lunar New Year. Designed to welcome the New Year and give blessings to people, the special painting is loved by many Chinese.
