中華文明， 又稱(chēng)"華夏文明"。"華夏"是中國(guó)漢民族的前身。中華文明可以追溯到公元前26世紀(jì)中華民族的建立者黃帝統(tǒng)一中原，至今延續(xù)五千多年。無(wú)論從語(yǔ)言和文字，還是從哲學(xué)、文學(xué)、書(shū)法、繪畫(huà)、戲曲、建筑、園林和飲食等方面審視，我們都不難發(fā)現(xiàn)，中華文明五千年發(fā)展史至今脈絡(luò)清晰可見(jiàn)，可謂是"世界四大古文明"中唯一從未因戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)、朝代更迭而中斷或滅亡、甚至失憶的偉大文明。
Chinese civilization is also known as the "Huaxia Civilization". "Huaxia" were the predecessors of Chinese Han people. Chinese Civilization can be traced back to the 26th century B.C. when the Yellow Emperor, the founding father of the Chinese nation, unified the Central Plains. Since then, Chinese civilization has existed for over 5000 years. In terms of language, written characters, philosophy, literature, calligraphy, painting, drama, architecture, gardens and cuisine, the five thousand year history of Chinese civilization is clearly visible. As one of the world's four major ancient civilizations, Chinese Civilization is well known for its continuity and the fact it was never wiped out by war, changes of dynasties, or simply by people forgetting their culture.
