It is said that the lion dance in China originated in the Southern and Northern Dynasties with a history of more than one thousand years. The lions represent joy and happiness. From the fourth day to the fifteenth of the New Year, lion dance groups would tour from village to village in ancient China. The lion itself consists of a head and a body. Every lion was made up of two Kung Fu martial artists qualified with a solid skill in Kung Fu. During the lion dance, music is played and each of the lion's moods and moves has its own rhythm.
據(jù)說，中國的舞獅（lion dance）起源于南北朝（the Southern and Northern Dynasties）時期，至今已有一千多年的歷史了。獅子代表歡樂和幸福。在中國古代，從新年的第四天到第十五天，舞獅團會從一個村子舞到另一個村子。獅子本身包含一個頭和一個身體。兩個功夫武術家（Kung Fu martial artists）可以組成一頭獅子。兩名參與者必須都要有扎實的功夫才能表演。舞獅的過程中還配有音樂。獅子的每種情緒和動作都有自己的節(jié)奏。
