　　家庭暴力(domestic violence)指的是在親密關(guān)系(intimate reiationship)中一方對(duì)另一方的虐待。通常來(lái)說(shuō)，受害者是兒童和婦女。在中國(guó)古代，人們認(rèn)為男人有權(quán)利懲罰他的孩子和妻子。廣義上講，家庭暴力不局限于明顯的身體暴力，它也有許多其他的形式。關(guān)于家庭暴力產(chǎn)生的原因，出現(xiàn)了許多不同的理論，比如犯罪者的性格和心理特征。外部因素也有影響，比如犯罪者所處的環(huán)境。然而，沒(méi)有一種理論能涵蓋所有情況。
