托福寫作：常用動(dòng)詞替換

　　在托福寫作里，有很多表達(dá)方式，那么常用動(dòng)詞就有很多換用的詞語，為了讓大家快速的突破托福寫作成績，小編就為大家?guī)硗懈懽鞒Ｓ脛?dòng)詞替換的相關(guān)內(nèi)容。

　　動(dòng)詞替換：

　　1.improve 提高

　　promote 促進(jìn) 提升

　　promote the trade between country A and country B

　　He was promoted to senior manager in the company.

　　Advance 提升 發(fā)展

　　Our understanding of human genetics has considerably advanced. 對(duì)遺傳學(xué)的認(rèn)識(shí)理解相當(dāng)?shù)?well)發(fā)展/前進(jìn)。

　　Enhance 加強(qiáng) 提高

　　The publicity has enhanced his reputation.

　　Reinforce 強(qiáng)化 加強(qiáng)

　　Reinforce the interference of the authority and its ability of macroeconomic control 加強(qiáng)政府的干預(yù)和宏觀調(diào)控能力

　　2.change 改變

　　transform 指改頭換面完全改變 不是slight change

　　The increasing population has transformed the landscape and structure of local industry. 人口劇增改變了小鎮(zhèn)的景色以及當(dāng)?shù)氐墓I(yè)結(jié)構(gòu)。

　　3.emphasize 強(qiáng)調(diào) 并不是一定會(huì)讓別人注意到強(qiáng)調(diào)的重點(diǎn)

　　highlight 類似老師勾重點(diǎn)讓學(xué)生更清楚

　　The report highlights the decline in the number of native/local plants and insects.

　　To highlight/emphasize the significance/magnitude of sth

　　強(qiáng)調(diào)……的重要性

　　stress

　　He stresses the need/necessity for parents to listen to their children carefully.

　　Accentuate

　　The crisis accentuates the gap between rich and poor.

　　4.Develop 培養(yǎng)

　　Cultivate

　　Cultivate the ability of … 一般都是培養(yǎng)情操(sentiment)

　　Cultivate a more relaxed and positive way towards life

　　Nurture 養(yǎng)育/同樣可以指培養(yǎng)人才(talents)

　　The sea nurtures ample marine animals.

　　5.break 破壞

　　Impair

　　Impair one’s ability 主要指破壞能力 切忌亂用

　　Undermine 抽象意義上的破壞 有削弱之意 重點(diǎn)在于循序漸進(jìn)的過程

　　Undermine one’s ability/confidence/authority/position/credibility

　　Jeopardize 也不可亂用，破壞的東西要上一定的等級(jí)才能配上此詞

　　Jeopardize the process of peace 破壞和平進(jìn)程

　　Devastate 特指毀滅 蹂躪

　　The earthquake devastated the whole city.
