這是TOEFL綜合寫作的核心要點。托福綜合寫作不允許考生表達自己的觀點，而要求考生根據(jù)讀到和聽到的信息，寫出一篇文章描述聽力是如何反駁或支持了閱讀的內容。 (中國大陸地區(qū)迄今為止考查的都是“反駁”關系)。因此在綜合寫作里，首先要“聽懂”并且“正確提煉”聽力的要點， 其次還要正確地將聽力的要點與閱讀的要點做好對應。
