A：These days more and more students choose to study abroad. What do you think of this trend?
 
現(xiàn)在越來(lái)越多的學(xué)生選擇出國(guó)留學(xué)。你對(duì)這種趨勢(shì)怎么看？
 
B：Many students want to learn more about western culture and business. This has been increasingly important after China entered the WTO. However, some students want to study abroad in order to move there.
 
許多學(xué)生想要了解西方的文化和商業(yè)經(jīng)濟(jì)。中國(guó)加入WTO以后，這變得尤為重要了。然而，也有一些學(xué)生想要移民出去。
 
A：What is the percentage of students return to China?
 
留學(xué)生回中國(guó)的比例是多少？
 
B：I personally don't know. It depends. If they get accustomed to the country, they stay.
 
我不太清楚，視情況而定。如果他們適應(yīng)了新的生活，就會(huì)留下來(lái)。
 
A：I have seen movies about Chinese people who live abroad. They might be happy at times but as time goes by they might find living in a different culture very difficult. They might also find that they aren't treated as equals.
 
我看過(guò)一些描寫(xiě)在國(guó)外生活的中國(guó)人的電影。開(kāi)始時(shí)他們可能覺(jué)得挺開(kāi)心，但隨著時(shí)間的推移，他們會(huì)覺(jué)得在一個(gè)不同文化的國(guó)家生活非常困難，或感覺(jué)受到不平等待遇。
 
B：They don't have confidence?
 
是他們對(duì)自己沒(méi)有信心嗎？
 
A：Is the problem their confidence or their nationality? In order to get a green card some people will work hard and pour their heart and soul into this endeavor. When they get the green card, however, they might discover that there are some problems with other people. Some people discriminate against them because they are Asian.
 
問(wèn)題出在他們的信心還是他們的國(guó)籍呢？為了拿到綠卡，一些人不惜一切代價(jià)地拼命工作。然而當(dāng)他們拿到了綠卡，他們可能發(fā)現(xiàn)真正的問(wèn)題在于一些人因?yàn)樗麄兪莵喼奕硕缫曀麄儭?br />  
B：Two things make it difficult to live abroad. One thing is that it may be illegal to work there and the other thing is that some people may prefer hiring people from their own country rather than foreigners. It's different here in China. Foreigners are more welcomed here.
 
完全不合法的艱苦工作和工作機(jī)會(huì)的不平等，一些人喜歡雇傭自己國(guó)家的人工作，這使得中國(guó)人在國(guó)外生活非常艱難，而在中國(guó)就不一樣了，外賓是很受歡迎的。
