A: why are you in such a good mood today?

你今天心情怎么這么好?

B: well, yesterday, I decided to face my fear of heights.

恩,昨天我下定決心正視自己的恐高問(wèn)題.

A: I didn't know you were scared of heights! Was it really bad?

我不知道你恐高!嚴(yán)重嗎?

B: let me put it this way. I've never seen a porfessional soprts game in a stadium because I could never get myself to walk to the top of the stairs to sit down.

這么跟你解釋吧.我從來(lái)沒(méi)去體育館看過(guò)任何一場(chǎng)職業(yè)比賽,因?yàn)槲也桓覐臉翘葑呱先フ易蛔?

A: so what did you do about it yesterday?

那你昨天怎么做了?

B: I went sky-diving!

我去高空跳傘了.

A: you're kidding me! that sounds really scary!

你開(kāi)玩笑吧!這聽(tīng)起來(lái)太恐怖了!

B: It was scary, but it felt great, too.

確實(shí)很恐怖.不過(guò)感覺(jué)棒極了!

A: weren't you scared?

你不害怕嗎?

B: of course I was scared. But I had an instrustor that went with me and that helped.

我當(dāng)然害怕.不過(guò)有個(gè)教練一直陪著我,指導(dǎo)我.

A: so have you cured your fear of heights?

那你的恐高癥就這么好了?

B: I think so. After I jumped out of the plane,I realized that I should just enjoy life. Worrying about it or not doing things out of fear is just plain silly.

我覺(jué)得是.從飛機(jī)上跳下去的那一刻,我意識(shí)到我應(yīng)該盡情享受生活.總是怕東怕西或者陷入恐懼什么都不敢做,實(shí)在是太傻了.

A: I'm impressed.

我明白了.

B: are you scared of anything?

你有什么害怕的嗎?

A: well, sometimes I get scared when I'm in my apartment all by myself.

恩,有時(shí)候,我獨(dú)自一人待在房間時(shí)會(huì)有點(diǎn)害怕.

B: what do you think is going to happen?

你覺(jué)得會(huì)發(fā)生什么事情嗎?

A: I always worry that the door is unlocked or that a window is open and that a stranger will come in and steal my things.

我總是擔(dān)心門(mén)或窗沒(méi)鎖,會(huì)有小偷進(jìn)來(lái)偷東西.

B: it sounds like you just need to be more careful.

聽(tīng)起來(lái)你做事需要更謹(jǐn)慎些.
